Creating space is difficult, while shaping culture is a long and bold construction. What kind of hardware should we use to host the gradually updated and developing software? Consciously or unconsciously, the form, function, and outcome of a space can mirror its users' priorities of culture, behavior and problems encountered. It can be said that "space is the body language of an organization." In the process of personally shaping the field, we will find what can and cannot promote cooperation, and what can and cannot enhance creativity. Re-allocation, design and construction start from the nearby boundary. Space shaping can create a certain kind of creative community culture and commonly used operating tools. Actions are taken to change the space at one-to-one scale.
D-School @ NTU is a subsidiary unit, where there are still many gaps to be filled in space. This course is a hands-on program, where students independently create, practice, explore and implement the shaping of the school's space. The operation core of this course is as follows: From the viewpoint of users, students start thinking about the future. In the face of real space at one-to-one scale, they conduct logical thinking of professional carpentry technical guidance and spatial planning, and take immediate actions to construct a school space with greater field identity and adhesion.
